: Sealed design and voltage regulation
The transformer TMG 400 10/0,4 has a hermetically sealed oil-filled structure without expander and air cushion. Oil temperature changes are compensated by changing the volume of the corrugated reservoir, which is due to its plastic deformation. The main advantage of the hermetic transformer is the absence of direct contact between the oil and atmospheric air, which prevents the ingress of moisture from the environment.
The transformer meets the requirements of GOST 11677, TU 5100, RK 0001, 0033 and AO-017-2005 standards. Voltage regulation is carried out in the absence of excitation (PBB). For this purpose, the transformer is equipped with a high-voltage switch connected to the high-voltage winding, which allows stepwise voltage regulation in the range ±2×2.5% when the transformer is de-energized on both the low-voltage and high-voltage sides.

- Active part TMG 400 10/0.4 transformer consists of a magnetic core assembled by Step-Lap technology, and HV and LV windings. Tank and transformer oil features:
- Transformer tank TMG 400 10/0,4 is made of steel sheet with thickness from 2 to 6 mm (depending on the capacity), equipped with stiffening ribs, which ensures its high strength and resistance to deformation during transportation and operation. The thickness of the tank cover varies from 4 to 8 mm depending on the transformer model.
- The design of the tank includes a compensating gap, which eliminates excessive pressure rise when transformer oil is heated, thus ensuring the safety of the device operation.
